Gauwyn Wildevale is traveling through the forest of Bedfordshire when he comes across a strangely barricaded little village who turn him away. He enters by stealth, and at the local inn and tavern, learns of Woodrynde's plight. It is none of Gauwyn's trouble and he plans to go on his way. But the little town is attacked before he can depart and he soon becomes embroiled in the heart of the conflict. No one knows (including the reader) who he is or why he stays, but stay he does and joins the towns people in the defense of their homes. With no hope of assistance from King Steven who is much too busy with his civil war against Queen Maud, Woodrynde must take care of itself.
As the story progresses more of Gauwyn is revealed and the more that is learned the less his actions make sense. But he gains their trust and they settle in for a win or die war for their home of Woodrynde.

This blog is solely for posting my stories on. The longer writing was encumbering the other blog so I created this one. I will post links on Ilyarynburg when I upload a story. If you have comments on what you have read I would appreciate it if you left them on the corresponding post on Ilyarynburg, because I'll be more likely to see them there. Thank you for coming to Lockspring and I hope you enjoy what you read.
